Party Planning
This year I'm excited to host a christmas party that sparkles, shimmers and shines. Something with lots of gold glitter, silver twinkle and a sense of being enveloped in a midnight black mystery. There'll also be a surprise woodland theme.
Step one in describing my vision to my co-host is to create a mini table-setting. I gathered my supplies from the Artfull Crafts Shop and started crafting. The rustic comes from elements like the picket fence, foliage and nest of twigs. Sprayed with gold mist, sprinkled with gold dust and embellished with pearl and rhinestone sparkle starburst, they get a sort of gucci-fied transformation.
Not being much of a turkey eater, I propose goose confit for the table as symbolised by this origami bird place card. I used a snow swirl vellum and followed the folding instructions in this video. And since we are celebrating, no boring white linen, instead some gold tulle to add to the festive mood.
After dinner there will be chocolate truffles presented tto the guests in individual treat holders. This example is folded from one piece of 6" paper and has a self-locking mechanism. Just to fancy it up I pushed some crystal and pearl pins through the top.
Everything is starting to feel really festive and I'm getting into the mood to party this holiday season.
Linking up to these parties.
