Deck the Halls

Here's a peak at my holiday mantel with boughs of magnolia liliiflora lending their velvety magneta charm to the room. A light dusting of (fake - the add water to powder variety) snow sets the mood and some handmade ornaments are the center of attention as I'm not having a tree this year.

Made from translucent vellum, these ornaments house twinkling lights inside. For a peek-a-boo effect, an outer covering of doily and woodgrain enclosed the vellum . Glamour and glitz is provided by some gold tulle and rhinestone and pearl sparklet starburst brads.

Hope you are enjoying the Holiday Season !
